New mosaic at Mutate Show

Wow, I have been so busy down at Mutate that I have hardly had time to blog.
Things are going really well down there, such a wonderful buzz! It’s been a couple of amazing weeks; being on site and watching other artists create their work. Watching Sam Heggarty construct his beasts was a particular high for me. Hats off to the Mutate team for bringing such a hard working and talented bunch together.
The Treatment Rooms crew have themselves worked extremely hard (especially Kev) in putting up a rather groovy mosaic on the outside wall of the toilets. (Toilets that have been unused for over 12 years until this show). If you look closely you will see that I have tiled a pictorial history of the local area – taken from Tom Vagues Notting Hill timeline.
Anyway, we intend to try and add to this over the next few weeks, hopefully getting the local community to come on board and help us. For the next few Saturdays, we will attempt to run workshops – encouraging all to get creative.
Remember you got to fight for your right to be arty!!
